For The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Question about skin textures'. Applying body/skin/face mods to only your character? Then add the skin textures to said. Do I need to install XPMS skelton to the custom folder and install it.
How To Install Skin In Minecraft
Okay, so first off, I am sure this is probably user error rather than a problem with the tool, although as far as I know I'm doing everything correctly. So, I've been testing out a few texture mods. Some of them work perfectly (aMidianBorn armour retextures, Skyrim HD 2K Creatures - haven't done direct comparisons on wildlife but the draugr look noticeably different/creepier) and some. First off, Skyrim HD 2K Dungeons (LITE, I think?). Maybe I'm misunderstanding what it's meant to do, but I can't see any difference between the first pic (with 2K Dungeons) and the second pic (vanilla, medium textures): Am I just expecting too much? I thought it'd be like the Imperial City retex I had for Oblivion where the walls and floors and so on looked markedly better.
The other thing that doesn't seem to have worked properly is Mature Skin - it looks great (if a bit greyish on Lydia, though she always looks a bit greyish except with TCM) on the faces, but it doesn't seem to be affecting the bodies at all - I installed it with CBBE's 'vanilla-esque' variant so as to get the underwear as I'm not after having naked ladies in my game, but I didn't install any CBBE textures I don't think, and anyway Mature Skin is winning all conflicts. I've also got Total Character Makeover, but again, Mature Skin is overwriting anything from that mod. (I think I may have had a similar issue with Skysight Skins, but it was fixed by adding in one of the 'dirty skin' body variants.) All of this is probably somewhat moot as I'm not sure my game can actually cope with running fancy texture mods, but it'd be nice to get it working properly for my screenshot profile. As I say, I've got the left pane ordered correctly, as far as I can tell, the mods I want to 'win' are in the right position to do so (lower down the page, lightning bolt with a green plus sign) I think? I tried reinstalling Mature Skin and the 2K Dungeons but it's made no difference. I'm not expecting my game to look as good as in the screenshots (because I have fairly low graphics settings and no ENB or anything like that) but I'd expect.some. change with the Dungeons pack (it's also not affecting FPS which makes me think it's just.
How To Install Skyrim Mods
Not there?) As I say, when I install things like the aMidianBorn retextures for individual armours they show up perfectly and look miles better than vanilla, even with my otherwise meh graphics settings. If you read the description page for 'Skyrim HD 2k' you will see about the Dungeon retexture pack it says this: Skyrim HD - Dungeons: This includes the Basic Dungeon Ground retexture and all the textures for the Dwemer Ruins.
You are not in a dwemer area so of course you do not see a difference. Originally posted by:Yup, like I say, I installed CBBE largely so as to have underwear as AFAICT Mature Skins on vanilla body = naked ladies which I don't want. By 'vanilla esque' I mean there was an option in CBBE to make it more similar to the vanilla shape or something like that, does that make a difference to the Mature Skins texture? You actually installed /this/ separate mod? To get the CBBE mesh body?
Because the CBBE Mature Skin 'textures' (even the CBBE vanilla-esque ones) will only work on /that/ CBBE mesh body. NOT the vanilla mesh body. Installing the Mature Woman Skin 'vanilla' will /not/ give you nude bodies unless you installed a nude-body mesh.
Which it doesn't seem you have. It takes more than a 'nude texture' to make the bodies in Skyrim 'nude', you need a 'nude mesh' too. Yep, installed CBBE, chose the 'vanilla' option in the FOMOD thing.
Skyrim Texture Pack
Ah, fair enough, I'd asked around about that (because the pictures on the mod page are all boobs and whatnot, very nice boobs and everything, but not what I'm looking for) and gotten the impression that it was necessary to install CBBE with underwear, but I guess that makes sense, given the underwear is part of the mesh rather than the texture, and obv the vanilla bodies have the underwear. (I don't generally bother with graphics mods, can you tell??). Originally posted by:Yep, installed CBBE, chose the 'vanilla' option in the FOMOD thing. alone. When you install the CBBE mod (totally separate from the 'Mature' skin mod - so a whole second download and install file entirely), is a /mesh body replacer/ AND a texture replacer. You get a naked body with CBBE mesh replacer.unless. you choose the CBBE version that has underwear on it. Anyway can you tell me the exact version of CBBE you are using. 'Caliente Underwear', 'Caliente Underwear 2', 'NeverNude', or 'None (which makes you nude)'? That comes from.this.
mod Also i am still not sure which version of 'Mature Skin' you are using. Can you go to the Nexus Mature Skin page and copy the name of the exact file you are trying to use? I installed CBBE with the FOMOD, it had radio buttons for slim/curvy (picked curvy) then a check box for 'vanilla', which I also checked, I presume that overrides the slim/curvy choice but I could be wrong, either way the radio buttons meant I had to pick one of them. On the underwear page, I went with. Caliente Underwear, I think (the NeverNude is the vanilla underwear, right?) The sort of blueish set with the more shorts-like knickers.
For Mature Skins, I downloaded both the CBBE versions, but installed the top one 'Body and face normal maps CBBE ZIP content Body normal maps, now with heads for the vanilla races for (almost) no neck seam' (Thanks for being so patient with me.). Although, already, here i think i see a problem. Did you also install 'Body and face texture CBBE'? You should need to install both the 'Body and face normal maps CBBE' and 'Body and face texture CBBE'. I didn't notice when i read through the first time. I didn't have a problem when installing both, when installing only 'Body and face normal maps CBBE' that caused a problem (same one you have in your picture).
I do not know all the technical words for graphic stuff. 'normals' do not mean normal like in every day words, 'normal maps' do. Like 'bump mapping' which just makes like. Eh, i cannot explain well. If you google 'normal maps' you can read about it. In this case the 'normal' maps are likely making the 'mature woman' skin details. Like not exactly wrinkles/crows feet but.
That sort of thing. In any case they are not 'proper textures', to get proper body textures you need 'Body and face texture CBBE'.
