You can also search near a city, place, or address instead. My new insurance does not cover contacts, so I decided to buy them from Costco instead, which was about 30 dollars cheaper.
I requested my prescription via email, and a few days later, I requested another one via fax because of technical issues. One lady jumped into the phone conversation between me and Chris, and she stated, 'We already sent you the prescription. This is the second time that you are requesting it.' Well, why does it have to be such a big deal? As a patient, I have rights to request my prescription and they are there to help me.
Was it that bad that I was not able to print one out? When I decided to write a review about this, I saw a few recent reviews from other patients who had similar experiences. Just wanted to add another unpleasant experience for people who are thinking of checking this place out.
Been coming here for years. I wear glasses, but recently I decided to get contacts. My insurance doesn't cover contacts, which is fine by me. So I had to pay cash to get my contact prescription. Anyways I schedule an appointment.

I go into my appointment. I am told I have to pay a little extra because of my astigmatism which is fine by me.
Anyways I explained how I needed a prescription to buy my contacts online. Desio (color contacts brand, Italian luxury brand ) have toric lenses for astigmatism. Desio is FDA approved. But Desio only lets me buy contacts if I have a prescription and it's approved by my doctor. Which is what I told to the Asian lady that was seeing me. She just told me even if I go through the fitting process and trial process she still can't give me my prescription to buy contacts online.
She could online sell me contacts from the retailers they deal with. She said the online contacts aren't good they are bad that because I have astigmatism I need toric lenses.
Which I understand, but I want the Desio brand which they don't sell. She didn't even bother to look at the website I was showing her. She just nodded her head and said 'that's no good '. Anyways I walked out. I later found out under the law they aren't supposed to deny you a prescription.
You're supposed to go through the fitting process and get your prescription but after that they can't tell you who to buy from. I am so very disappointed with Vista Vision. I have been a patient of Dr George for as long as I can remember and I was in a tight spot being so close to Christmas. I lost my last contact for my right eye. I called to see if I could get a temp contact until the new year when I could come in and order a few new boxes as I do every year.
I was told that they could not do that for me. I was in shocked that I asked again cause I know in the past Dr. George has always been so great to his patients. I have moved out of the area and was still going out of my way to visit Vista Vision and also refered many people.
I so sad to see that to see that they dont treat long time loyal patients as they once did. First off, I have to start off by saying this truly pains me to have to leave a review, and such an unsatisfactory one at that but I just was so hurt and disappointed by the treatment I received recently that I want other potential patients to be aware if your thinking of going to this office. George is such a sweet, kind doctor, whom my family and I have know for many, many years but my most recent experience dealing with his staff has made me not ever want to return here as a patient. I recently a few weeks ago accidentally lost one of my contact lenses and called in Monday to leave a message with a staff member to relay to Dr. George to have him call me back directly. They have a office policy, if your prescription is expired they wont even give you a temporary contact lens to hold you over until you have gone in for an exam to get a new prescription written up.
So, being informed of this by a few staff members, I asked to leave a message to speak directly to my doctor so I could explain to him my situation (which is very unique, have had a few eye surgeries over the years and a situation Dr. George personally is aware of, so I just thought talking with him, he would work with me and help me out.) I was going out of town for work this Wednesday and just desperately needed one lens to hold me over through my work trip, was why it was urgent to me, Long story short, I never got to speak directly to my doctor, due to the very unprofessional and rude office manager, Patty, who refused to relay the message to my doctor. She was the one who ended up calling me back and told me she wouldn't relay to Dr. George I had called, that this policy was in place and she wouldn't allow me to speak with him on the matter nor seemed to want to help me much at all. She even made a remark to me'Well, don't you have a pair of glasses you could wear?
All people who wear contact lenses have a back-up pair of glasses they could wear.' Like it was her place to decide if I should wear glasses or contact lenses on my work trip. The plain fact that she didn't allow me to directly speak with my doctor, just felt unethical and plain wrong. As a office manager of any doctors office you should allow a patient to speak with his or doctor when they ask to leave a message for them. George would have told me directly this policy stands and I couldn't come in and just get a temporary lens to wear, I would have respected that, what infuriated me the most was Patty was unwilling to allow me direct access/contact with my doctor. Patty this is not your practice, you simply are the manager, next time a patient asks to speak with her doctor, you should think twice about relaying the message to the doctor of the office to decide to speak with their patient.
She was so unbelievably rude and inconsiderate, think twice about going here for sure, and they should consider a new office manager who truly cares for patients' well-being. This also seems to be a trend as there are other reviews here with other patients having the same experience. I am so disappointed at with the bad service I received today. I have been a loyal costumer for years ordering my contacts trough them.

Yesterday I accidentally ripped my contact while putting it on and I needed a pair asap as I was heading to work. I rely on my contacts and can't see with out them at all.
Dr George Optometrist
I explained my situation to see if I was able to get a trial so I can go to work and order a new pair. The front desk lady kept asking tons of question and didint seen to know what she was doing. All I wanted was to order contacts and get a trial so I could head to work. She took forever to get my file, was not helpful at all and didint even end up helping me at all.
She told me I had to go back to where I had gotten my exam to see if I was able to get a trial trough then because although I do my exam somewhere else because it is free trough my insurance and they charge. I am truly disappointed. I am calling out of work and def not thinking of going back to this facility again. I don't recall the doctors name, she was the young Asian woman. But she was so great.
She made absolutely sure I got the perfect prescription for my glasses. Also, I had to bring my 5 month old baby in with me for my exam and fitting and everyone was so accommodating. The doctor even held her while I put in my contacts.
The staff was so nice and they were very quick and professional. Robert glasper black radio 2. The manager, I believe, was also great with getting me the most band for my buck with the insurance and copay. I'll definitely be coming back for all my yearly exams!!
I went here with my boyfriend. There was a man eye Dr. Who was very professional and the lady who helped us pick out the frames out front was very nice.
However, when I called a week later to check if his glasses were ready, I was told that is confidential information and they can't give it out to anyone except the patient directly. They then proceeded to ask me personal questions about my boyfriend to verify if I know him. I don't remember all the little details and so they told me that they couldn't verify that I was his girlfriend and wouldn't give me any info about his glasses. First off, do you think I would be calling some random eye Dr.' S office to ask about glasses? Secondly, what are the chances that I know the patient's full name? And also, what damage is done by telling me whether his glasses are ready or not?
He is still the one who has to go in with his I.D. And insurance and all the paperwork to actually pick them up. I would strongly recommend against going here.
